Stephen is a Corporate Tax Partner in the Edinburgh office and joined the Firm in January 2026. Starting his career in London at a ‘Big 6’ practice, he relocated back to Scotland and worked for a multinational financial services business, advising predominately on large scale real estate and infrastructure projects. He then returned to a practice role and was the Head of Tax at a mid-tier Firm for a number of years.
Working predominately with mid to large corporate clients, he has advised across a number of sectors on large scale restructuring projects. He also has extensive experience of the loan relationships legislation, given his time working in the financial services sector.
In his spare time, he has two children and spending time with them in their various sporting pursuits is a focal point of most weekends. He enjoys watching and playing most sports, with football having been a big part of his life from a young age.
