About the role

Are you a career driven, service led Corporate Tax Manager, or Tax Assistant Manager who is ready to make a step up? If so, we are keen to hear from you. As Corporate Tax Manager, you will work with a variety of clients across multiple sectors – from entrepreneurial Owner Managed Businesses through to listed businesses.
You will be working closely with Partners & Directors in delivering a combination of tax advisory and tax compliance work to a portfolio of clients, maximising fee income and generating new client and consultancy work from a client portfolio.
You will also support the Tax Directors and Tax Managers on the management of the tax compliance function and staff, ensuring efficient production and quality levels are met. You will support in the career development of junior team members.

What does this role entail?

  • Work in a team managing a portfolio of corporate clients, acting as a key contact for your clients supporting Partners and Directors
  • Provide tax advisory and compliance services to clients, maximising fee earning opportunities for the firm
  • Manage the production of corporate tax computations, supervising more junior team members
  • Plan, control and review work carried out by team members to ensure work is completed within timeframes and budget
  • Respond to tax queries from Partners & Directors
  • Billing and WIP management
  • Carry out corporate tax advisory work with support from Partners & Directors
  • Liaise between Partners, tax department and audit department
  • Attend client meetings, pitches and presentations (where appropriate)
  • Team Management and Development


Qualification and skills required

  • CTA or ACA qualified Corporate Tax Manager or Assistant Tax Manager from a well-respected tax practice or boutique
  • Demonstrable and current technical tax knowledge
  • Experience advising corporate clients
  • Proven compliance and tax advisory experience
  • General knowledge and understanding of audit and accountancy issues
  • IT literate (Excel, Tax Software and Word)
  • Communication – oral and written
  • Commercial awareness / client focus / client relationship skills
  • People management skills, coaching and development of others
  • Organisational skills
