We’re looking for a talented Risk and Information Goverance Assistant Manager who thrives in a dynamic environment and embraces the chance to tackle complex challenges.   • Provide support across the Firm’s risk management and information governance activities.
  • Strengthen the Firm’s risk framework while embedding good data handling, privacy, and information governance practices.
  • Deliver actions from the data discovery review and act as a subject matter resource for both risk and IG matters
  • Working with Key Risk Owners to maintain and support the development of risk registers
  • Support preparation of risk reports for Partners, Committees, and the Management Board.
  • Track and monitor risk action plans and follow up with stakeholders.
  • Assist with resilience initiatives, including business continuity, crisis response, and incident management.
  • Attend RiCo meetings, taking minutes and updating the actions register
  • Support compliance with data protection and information governance requirements.
  • Implement outputs from the data discovery review (data mapping, storage and retention rules, permissions, access controls).
  • Support the Data Protection Officer with subject access requests, breach response, and policy development.
  • Help embed information governance awareness across the Firm.
  • Providing administrative support to the Risk and Legal Team.

What we are looking

  • Experience in risk management, information governance, or data protection desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of operational risk and resilience principles, plus data protection (UK GDPR, DPA 2018).
  • Strong research skills, with the ability to interpret new regulations, guidance, and industry developments.
  • Evidence of being driven to learn and develop professionally, comfortable upskilling in new areas.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to draft reports for senior stakeholders.
  • Practical approach to embedding governance in day-to-day business operations.
