Jack Steer

Audit Director, FCA, BA (Hons)

Jack Steer is an Audit Director at MHA and a Responsible Individual, specialising in the audit of charities and housing associations. He works with a wide range of not-for-profit organisations, supporting trustees and boards with high-quality statutory audits and clear, pragmatic advice in a highly regulated environment.

In addition to his not-for-profit specialism, Jack has extensive experience acting for owner-managed businesses and UK subsidiaries of overseas groups, including complex group reporting and statutory audit engagements. His technical expertise spans the Charities SORP and the Housing SORP, as well as UK GAAP and IFRS, enabling him to support clients with differing reporting and governance requirements.

Based in the North West, Jack works with clients across the UK, regularly leading and coordinating audit teams on multi-site and group engagements. He works with organisations of all sizes, from small charities to large and complex group structures, and liaises closely with finance teams to ensure audits are delivered efficiently and effectively.

Outside of client work, Jack is a Trustee of his local football club’s Supporters’ Trust, reflecting his ongoing commitment to the not-for-profit sector. He also enjoys travelling and attending live music events in the UK and abroad.
