Finance Director Update webinar – February 2023

Webinar • 9th Feb 2023 - 8:30am - 12:30pm

Our Finance Director update courses take place every 6 months and are designed to keep your technical knowledge up to date to help you comply with the ever-changing regulatory environment in the worlds of Financial Reporting and Tax.

With expert speakers from across MHA, this event will focus on the latest developments in Tax, VAT and UK company law & accounting standards, including:

  • Tax planning ahead of 31 March 23
  • VAT implications of reorganisations / reconstruction or intra group transactions
  • Recent case law on distributions, especially Directors’ duties in light of the current challenging business conditions
  • Practicalities and data required to ensure correct accounting treatment for ESG
  • R&D, following changes to the interpretation of qualifying criteria by HMRC as well as rate changes

The course is intended not only to alert you to regulatory changes, but to highlight points which can be used in practice. It is particularly aimed at those involved with businesses using IFRS and slightly larger entities using UK GAAP either under FRS101 or FRS102 but will be relevant to all FDs and CFOs.

The session will give you 3 hours of verifiable CPD and help you navigate the many complex issues you and your teams will encounter.

Who should attend?

This course is specifically designed to meet the needs of Finance Directors and CFO's where good all-round knowledge of financial reporting, governance and tax is a necessity.
