Donald Maclean
Director, BA CA. ICAS member (chair of ICAS Owner Managed Business Committee)Donald qualified as a CA in 1990 following a BA degree in Accountancy and Computer Science at Heriot Watt University.
With over 30 years in the profession; ranging from the international firms through to small-independents, (past chair of the ICAS Owner Managed Business Committee), Donald has a breadth of experience to draw on to assist clients in growing their business while minimising their tax liabilities through sensible, ethical, tax planning.
Having industry experience, working for a UK headquartered Software Development Company and a period overseas assisting a Research and Development Company in New Zealand, Donald firmly believes in helping his clients fully understand the often complex financial aspects of their business; the better to understand and take advantage of the opportunities that are there in every phase of the economic cycle.
Outside work, Donald spends his time cycling in the hills of Scotland, taking photographs along the way, and enjoying the peace and serenity of our great outdoors.
