Galina joined Baker Tilly in January 2020 as an Audit Director, with primary responsibility for the audit of banks and insurance companies. In 2022, she was appointed Head of Audit, expanding her portfolio to include clients in the energy, pharmaceutical, and trading sectors. Her leadership and deep sector knowledge led to her promotion in 2024 to Partner, Assurance Services – Financial Services.
In her current role, Galina oversees the delivery of high-quality audit services to clients across the financial sector as well as other key industries. She manages complex engagements for some of the firm’s largest clients, ensuring a rigorous and efficient audit process. Also in 2024, she became a registered auditor authorised to sign ESG assurance reports in Bulgaria, in line with recent amendments to the Accountancy Act and the Act on Independent Financial Audit and the Provision of Assurance on Sustainability Reporting. This qualification allows her to provide assurance under the evolving sustainability reporting framework.
Galina specialises in the audit of banks and insurance companies, and she also works with clients across sectors such as energy, pharmaceuticals, and trading. Her ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and deliver assurance with technical precision has made her a trusted advisor in her field.
She is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in the UK and a registered auditor and member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Bulgaria (IDES).
