James heads the M&A team in London and is focused primarily on corporate finance lead advisory services spanning: sale-side disposals; equity and debt fundraising; management buyouts (MBOs); and buy-side acquisition projects; as well as SPA review and completion accounts advisory.
James has acted as lead adviser on more than 100 successful transactions involving private equity and strategic purchasers in the UK, Europe, the US, and Asia. As a generalist, James has experience across a variety of industries, and a more extensive track record advising clients in the software and technology, healthcare, and business services sectors.
James is passionate about ensuring clients receive the highest quality strategic M&A advice. Often engaging a number of years in advance to guide on preparation of a transaction, James and his team invest in building deep understanding of clients' businesses and trusted-adviser relationships with their owners and management teams; taking a 'hands-on' approach to transaction execution; and deploying incisive M&A expertise to enable clients to maximise their negotiating position.
