Julie is a Partner at MHA with extensive expertise in audit regulation, audit quality, and internal inspection. She brings over 30 years of experience, having held senior roles across the profession, including in the Big Four, at the Financial Reporting Council (FRC), and in a global network firm.
Julie spent 17 years at a Big Four firm, primarily focused on auditing financial sector entities and pension schemes, including six years as a Responsible Individual signing audit reports. She then joined the FRC, where she spent 11 years on the audit inspection team, leading inspections across firms of all sizes and developing a deep, practical knowledge of audit regulation.
More recently, Julie was a partner at a competitor firm, where she led the internal audit inspection programme in the UK and later oversaw systems of quality management across the firm’s global network.
Julie joined MHA to support the firm on its ongoing audit quality improvement journey, contributing her knowledge, leadership, and passion for driving high standards in the profession.
Julie lives with her husband Rob, their three adult children, two elderly dogs, and a tortoise adopted during lockdown. She enjoys pilates, gardening, walking the dogs, live music, and spending time with family and friends.
