Socrates is a Partner at Baker Tilly South East Europe, overseeing both the Finance operations of the Group and the growing Regional Advisory Department. With a career spanning both professional services and industry, he brings a unique combination of technical expertise and commercial insight to his leadership role.
Socrates began his professional journey with Baker Tilly, qualifying as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2008 while working across both accounting and audit functions. In 2009, he accepted the role of Chief Financial Officer at one of Cyprus’s largest FMCG companies, which was involved in both the production and import of consumer goods. Over the next seven years, he gained extensive experience in budgeting, financial restructuring, and organisational management.
In 2017, Socrates returned to Baker Tilly South East Europe as the Group CFO, later advancing to Regional Director in 2019 and Regional Partner in 2021. His leadership has been pivotal in driving efficiency, performance, and strategic growth across the region.
His main service areas are Finance and Advisory, and he works with clients across a range of sectors.

Outside of work Socrates is passionate about history, technology, and staying well-informed on global affairs. In his spare time, he enjoys exercise, hiking, playing tennis, and gardening, valuing a balanced and active lifestyle.
