Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Behave in an ethical and professional manner.
  • Take responsibility for own training records.
  • Compliance with money laundering regulations.
  • Gain an understanding of the code of ethics and the role of a professional accountant, behaving accordingly and upholding professional standards and the public interest.
  • Ability to communicate with immediate team members, written and face to face, in accordance with the firm’s standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate ability to accurately analyse data.
  • Demonstrate understanding of office systems and IT applications.
  • Meeting obligations to study for AAT/ATT where appropriate.
  • Develop, maintain and exercise the technical knowledge and specialised skills necessary for the role and responsibilities.

Essential skills:

  • Willingness to combine the demands of a full time role whilst studying for further qualifications.
  • Flexibility in approach to tasks.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload.
  • Ability to use professional judgement where appropriate.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Have an aptitude for figures and an interest in business and commerce.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy of work.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel and IT applications.

Desirable Skills:

  • Considering obtaining relevant business qualifications.


  • 8 GCSEs including grade A Maths/English.
  • A levels or equivalent in a business or numeracy related subject.
