Rachel started her accounting career straight out of university where she studied History. Her first accountancy job was part of an accounts team for a travel and tourism company while studying for the AAT qualification. After two years in industry, she joined MHA where she completed the AAT qualification. She swiftly moved onto the ACCA qualification and gained her chartership status. She has been with MHA since 2015 and has progressed to the role of Manager in the Accountancy and Advisory team.
She has a varied portfolio which includes not-for-profits, sole traders, partnerships, companies, groups and also self-assessment tax returns. With a varied portfolio, she has naturally gained knowledge of various accounting software packages like QuickBooks and Xero.
Rachel loves to go walking in the fells with her dogs. She has a Border Collie and a Dogue de Bordeaux and they can nearly always be found on a Wainwright at the weekend. When the weather is too bad to get into the fells, Rachel likes to read and cook.
